pancakes

making pancakes is quite easy. the picture on the left is of an odlums easy pancake making powder. all you do is add milk and pour on to a frying-pan ontop of eather butter or oliveoil(butter works best). the picture on the right is from a cook-book called " Real food for real people." the ingredients are:
6 oz plain flour
3 large eggs(5 med. eggs)
12 fl oz milk
3 fl oz water
2 tablespoones melted butter.

Method:sieve the flourinto a large bowl. make a wellin the center of the flour and break the eggs into it. Whisk the eggs, gradualy taking in the flour from the edges. Gradualy add the milk and water until the batter is smooth and the consistency of thin cream. Just before making the pancakes, stir in the melted butter.

To make the pancakes, drop a little butter on the pan and then pour on 1/4 ladle of pancake mixture per pancake. Cook until just set and flip to cook the reverse. An easy way to flip, without risking the pancake ending up on the floor, is to use a fish slice and simplyturn it.

I hope you enjoy.
